Delete Your Account or Data

Last updated: May 23, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Muhoort account (operated by Laagadh Pvt. Ltd.) and how to remove specific categories of data without closing your account. If you run into any trouble following the steps below, email us at info@muhoort.com and we will help.

Delete Your Entire Account

Muhoort does not currently include an in-app "delete account" button. To request deletion of your account and all data associated with it, send an email from the address registered to your account to info@muhoort.com with:

  • Subject: Account deletion request
  • Body: include your Muhoort user ID so we can identify the right account

We will acknowledge your request and process the deletion within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days). Once complete, the following are deleted permanently and cannot be recovered:

  • Your profile information — name, gender, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, coordinates
  • Your account credentials — user ID, email address, password hash
  • Calendar events you created in Muhoort, and the records of any calendar providers (Google, Outlook) you had connected (the corresponding OAuth authorisations are revoked at the provider)
  • Chat conversations with the Muhoort AI assistant, and any feedback you submitted through the daily feedback flow
  • Saved preferences, notification settings, and push notification tokens registered for your device
  • Cached muhoort-quality predictions and any local Muhoort calendar data

Delete Specific Data Without Closing Your Account

You can remove individual categories of data from the app or your device without deleting your account:

  • Connected calendars (Google / Outlook): in the app, open Settings and disconnect the provider. Your local Muhoort copy of those calendars is removed and Muhoort can no longer read or write events on your behalf at that provider.
  • Individual calendar events: open the event in any calendar view (day / week / month / list) and choose Delete. The event is removed from Muhoort and, if it originated from a connected provider, from that provider as well.
  • Location: deny or revoke the location permission for Muhoort in your device settings — on Android, Settings › Apps › Muhoort › Permissions; on iOS, Settings › Muhoort › Location. Muhoort will stop collecting GPS coordinates; the last-known coordinates stored on your device are cleared on next launch.
  • Push notifications: revoke notification permission in your device settings, or turn off individual notification types in the app's Settings. The associated push token is unregistered.
  • Chat history: closing the chat screen ends the current session and clears it from the screen. To erase older chat conversations from our servers, email info@muhoort.com from your registered address and we will remove them.
  • Profile fields: open Settings › Profile in the app and edit any field; the previous value is overwritten on save.
  • Local app data only: uninstalling the Muhoort app from your device removes the on-device database (calendars, events, cached predictions, settings). It does not delete your account or server-side data — for that, follow the steps under "Delete Your Entire Account" above.

Data We May Retain After Deletion

When you delete your account we erase the personal data listed above. A limited amount of information may be retained for a short period, for the specific reasons below, and is never used for marketing or profiling:

  • Server logs: diagnostic logs (with sensitive fields such as access tokens and passwords already redacted at write time) are retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and security analysis, then automatically purged.
  • Anti-abuse records: if the account was suspended for terms-of-service violations or fraudulent activity, we may keep a minimal record (account identifiers and the reason for suspension) for a period sufficient to prevent re-registration.
  • Legal and tax records: if we are required by Indian law or a valid legal request to retain specific information, we will keep only what is necessary, for the time required, and protect it accordingly.
  • Outgoing mail records: records of automated emails the system has sent to you (verification, password reset, account notices) may remain in our mail queue for a short delivery-tracking period, after which they are purged.

For full detail on what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.
